Marketing models
Here are some marketing models i really like:
Study spanish dot com has a website with free stuff [free is always good], then a monthly $$$ gets you premium content, and then you can buy the audio course for more $$$.
My friend wayne has a radio show, a free podcast, and sells books and audio messages.
Amazon dot com of course is the ultimate ecommerce site but my friend dot has a small store and a successful ecommerce business.
If your business does not focus on ecommerce, local.google.com and local.yahoo.com combined with pay per click ad words are an excellent choice for you.
Shootsmartertv is pure marketing. this guy knows how to sell other people's expertise.
The socionomics institute sells books and videos bypassing the traditional publisher middlemen. A while ago, I joined a yahoo group because they were sending weekly emails about an interesting topic. Then one day, I got an email offer to buy his book! I was surprised to learn that he was publishing his book in small pieces, and building the market for his book at the same time.
Jay Conrad Levinson has written 42 books, all with the words "Guerilla Marketing" in the title. I can't bring myself to read any of them. But he's got a point. Nothing can replace old fashioned face to face marketing.
Go to trade shows.
Get your business card everywhere.
Speak to any group that is willing to listen.
And... well, read his 42 books for the rest of the story..
