The good Will of a Flower
The Man who would possess
Must first present
Of minted Holiness.
this poem is astounding.
if you want to grok a flower - that is to understand the flower in every dimension from inside out. it's energy. the spiritual form behind it... no wait. lemme start over.
only the pure heart can touch and know and understand a flower.
it makes me wonder if emily will tell us what she means by 'minted holiness' elsewhere in her poetry.
from where i'm sitting now, a pure heart is one that resonates perfectly with the love of God.. without any of the dissonance that most of us have.
that dissonance is described by julian of norwich as 'our own having and our own wanting'. jakob boehme described it as 'our own seeing and our own hearing'
